Dell Xps 13 2023 looks and feels like a premium laptop. It’s incredibly light to carry around, and because it measures 11.63 7 inches x 7.84 and 0.6 inches and weighs 2.7-2.9 tons (depending on configuration), it’s almost the same size and weight as the MacBook Air M2 (0.4 inches thin, 2.7 pounds heavy).
The aluminum chassis is machined and sturdy, and I could not bend or stretch it, regardless of how I tried. The absence of any significant lip at the edge makes it difficult to open the laptop with only two hands available and a little bit of grit.

The overall design is minimalist and straightforward. The capacitive row of buttons high-up on the keyboard is reminiscent of a touch bar used on MacBook Pro.
I’m not currently opposed to capacitive keys for media control and other things, but having an Esc button capacitive seems odd. As I said, I like tangible feedback when pressing the button, but it’s like pushing my fingers on an un-solid surface.
The Dell xps Plus keyboard is ideal for those who are not heavy tappers looking to type longer durations. I’m thrilled with the keyboard.
Touchpad
The Dell xps 13 plus is a bit strange when it comes down to the touchpad. In contrast to other laptops, the touchpad is entirely flush with the surface of your keyboard, and there’s no physical or visible indication of where it starts or ends.
Some might like the sleek keyboard design incorporating the keyboard deck, but I do not. I prefer my touchpad with boundaries so that I have a sense of where it begins and ends.
However, the touchpad of xps 13 plus remains very large and wide, and when used in the average hand position, you shouldn’t be able to use it with any difficulty. It performs very well when used regularly. The glass surface feels lovely and smooth. It’s also quick and precise. Despite the strange style, I enjoyed using this touchpad.

While using this laptop to work, play, and write this review, I felt free due to its performance and multitasking features. I was able to run several apps at the same time while switching between the 10+ tabs of Chrome and a Spotify playlist with no apparent performance issues on my xps 13 plus. You can quickly get basic tasks done.
However, when we ran it through our rigors of tests to determine its performance, The weaknesses in this Dell XPS 13 Plus became obvious.
Battery

It lasted just 60 hours and 20 mins in our battery test, which consisted of continuous browsing on Wi-Fi, streaming video, and OpenGL applications with the screen set at 150 units of brightness. It’s easy to see it’s true that Dell Xps 13 2023 is a fantastic product by Dell. It is a marvel of performance, with an impressive display and an extremely responsive keyboard. But it comes with a few minor issues, such as the absence of a headphone socket, which can be loud at times and lose some of its power.
Additionally, if your work involves something demanding and needs a dedicated GPU and you’re not able to go beyond the 13-inch size, the Macbook Air M2 would likely be more efficient despite its poor performance in terms of CPU.
